What you’ll do as a Locator II

• Responsibilities include pre-job site survey/inspection to assure all utilities have been located and accounted for, planning the job, locating and directing the bore head and drill operator, and assigning work tasks to laborers.
• 2 years of previous field experience operating Ditch Witch Subsite locate packages in congested urban areas.
• Responsible for daily operations of the crew, locates, dig ups, etc.
• Assure all located utilities that are in the construction path have been pot-holed, assist in other jobsite labor tasks (set pedestals, place pipe/conduit, pull cables, etc.). 
• Possess experience operating a utility locator, experience in underground utility construction, will accept a leadership role and responsibility for a crew.
• Ability to comply with all applicable OSHA and company safety standards. 
• Document all locates
• Additional Duties 

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• A minimum of six months of locating experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use portable ladder, work in confined spaces, and climb stairs

Salary Range $20.00 to $25.00
