Position Purpose: The Lock Desk Specialist must believe in, practice, and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how they approach their role at Green Brick Partners.

Green Brick Mortgage is seeking a knowledgeable Lock Desk Specialist to join our team in Plano, TX. As a Lock Desk Specialist, you will manage the mortgage rate lock process, ensuring accurate and timely rate locks, extensions, and changes in compliance with company policies and market conditions.

• Manage daily rate lock requests and changes.
• Monitor market conditions and communicate pricing updates.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of rate locks and changes.
• Provide support and guidance to Loan Officers and Processors.
• Collaborate with Secondary Marketing to manage pipeline risk.

Authority/Budget/Decision Making/Discretion and Independent Judgment Ability:
Utilizes discretion, judgment, and high-level analytical skills to interpret complex situations.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field.

Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of mortgage pricing and rate lock processes.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in lock desk software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills.

Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in rate lock management or secondary marketing.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
