• 20 ICU beds


• Montefiore Nyack is a level III Trauma center and a certified stroke center


• Medical and surgical ICU patient Mix


• Adult/Peds: 100%/0%


• EMR: Epic


• Some of the specialty cases are post-cardiac cath, Trauma, Neurosurgery, Vascular surgery, Thoracic surgery, OB&GYN, and Ortho.


• DAYS – APP coverage from 8 am to 6 pm and 24/7 in-house Intensivist


• Full and Temp Privileges are available


• Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants must have critical care experience


• APPs need to be highly comfortable with high acuity patients/procedures including but not limited to central lines, arterial lines, and HD cath placement


• APPs can be assigned ~10 patients


• APP responds to code blue with intensivist


• APPS lead rounds on their own patients and the intensivist will serve as a resource
