Requirements Seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our collegial team at Methodist Nacogdoches Freestanding ED an extension of the emergency department at Methodist Hospital Northeast in Live Oak Texas. Position annual volume with 10 pediatric casesDedicated pediatric exam room24 hours of physician coverage with 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverageBC/BE in EM MD or DO and EM residency trainedPALS certification Candidates must communication skillsExpertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergenciesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills.FACILITY INFORMATION Methodist Hospital Northeast has expanded its emergency department with a new location Methodist ER Nacogdoches. Methodist ER Nacogdoches is open 24/7 to provide emergency medical care for both adults and children. The emergency services team is fully trained and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions. If you need to be transferred to either Methodist Hospital Northeast or Methodist Children’s Hospital to receive more specialized care there are no extra expenses involved. As an extension of the emergency room at Methodist Hospital Northeast this site full-service laboratory and telemetrySpecific on-site diagnostic equipment includes: 64-slice CT scanner dedicated x-ray suite ultrasound and telemetry equipmentImmediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility24-hour monitoring and testing of patients such as chest pain casesUse of a Picture Archiving Communications System PACS to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image from the Methodist ER Nacogdoches to any Methodist credentialed physician’s office specialist or any Methodist hospital emergency room for seamless follow-up As an extension of the emergency room at Methodist Children’s Hospital this site offers a variety of capabilities specifically designed for are specially trained and certified in Pediatric Advance Life Support PALS as well as trained in pediatric care guidelines following our Methodist Children’s Hospital standardsAll of the equipment needed to treat pediatric patientsDesigned pediatric exam room to create a welcoming environment for young patientsDirect access to consult with pediatric specialists at Methodist Children’s Hospital and if necessary coordinate seamless patient transfers to the hospital with a specially trained pediatric team
