**Job Duration:** 26 week assignment
**Shift:** Day - 3x12 - 7am - 7pm, 36 Hours
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours per week
**Experience:** Previous experience in a similar role preferred
**License:** Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate with no restrictions
**Certifications:** ABMS or AOA Board Certified within 3 years of completing residency training program; recertification required
**Must-Have:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience in patient care, documentation proficiency
**Job Description:**
- Accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation.
- Deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice; educating patients, their families, and clinical staff.
- Conduct patient assessments to ensure comprehensive and accurate records of clinical information and symptoms.
- Order tests and exams as necessary to ensure complete patient care.
- Diagnose patient needs and determine a plan of care.
- Provide and oversee patient treatment, including prescriptive practices to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
- Ensure that the care provided is appropriate, effective, timely, and cost-efficient.
- Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or procedural care as defined by scope of practice.
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of clinical care, including accurate coding and billing per established protocols.
- Conduct and coordinate education to increase the knowledge of patients, families, and healthcare team.
- Train staff and teach students as appropriate to enhance clinical knowledge.
- Stay current with healthcare trends and participate in continuing education.
- Coordinate and collaborate patient care with other healthcare providers.
- Communicate clinical information accurately and appropriately to other providers.
- Collaborate with others to share practice expertise effectively.
- Participate in research and utilize evidence-based practice to promote quality patient care and protocol development.
- Support professional development through research processes.
This position is a 24-hour shift, in-house role specializing in labor and delivery.
