Job Details
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5pm
Dates needed:
December 18th - January 3rd
Patient Volume:
18-20/day
Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate patients and diagnose various types of cancers, primarily focusing on the application of radiation therapy as a treatment.
2. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, ensuring the highest level of care and safety.
3. Operate radiation equipment to deliver prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts in accordance with the treatment plan.
4. Collaborate with medical physicists to plan and execute brachytherapy treatments.
5. Regularly review and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
6. Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients, addressing questions and concerns regarding treatment.
7. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and coordinate patient care.
8. Stay updated on the latest advancements in radiation oncology and participate in continuing education activities.
9. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
2. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiation Oncology, with a focus on radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and radiotherapy.
4. Excellent knowledge of the latest radiation oncology techniques and technologies.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
6. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
8. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
9. Valid medical license and ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements.
