Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of goods from suppliers to customers in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This role involves planning, overseeing logistics operations, liaising with suppliers, customers, and transport providers, and troubleshooting any issues in the supply chain.
Pay: $21-23 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange and track shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and transportation providers.
- Create and implement efficient logistics and transportation schedules.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, procurement) to forecast demand and plan for future logistics needs.
- Address and resolve any issues in the logistics process, such as delays or damaged goods.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and safety standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with logistics software, ERP systems, and/or transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
