Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator with at least 2 years of experience to support the operations of a batch plant construction project on Tinian Island. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing supplies, and ensuring smooth operational flow to meet project deadlines and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistical Planning & Coordination:
Develop and implement logistical plans to support the transportation, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment necessary for the batch plant construction project. - Supply Chain Management:
Coordinate the procurement, shipment, and delivery of construction materials to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Maintain inventory levels and oversee the management of supplies at the construction site. - Scheduling & Coordination:
Collaborate with construction teams, suppliers, and transportation providers to ensure the efficient movement of materials and resources. Create and maintain project schedules to align with construction timelines. - Vendor & Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain communication with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure proper coordination of deliveries and services. Handle issues related to delays, damaged shipments, or discrepancies in orders. - Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and manage shipment documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery confirmations. Track shipments and create reports to keep the project team informed about material status. - Regulatory Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations, as well as safety standards for handling construction materials. Work closely with project teams to maintain safety protocols on-site.
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
- Experience working on batch plant construction projects or similar large-scale operations is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple logistical tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
