Logistics Manager - Land O'Lakes Inc.

The purpose of this position is to effectively manage 160 MM of cheese inventory purchased by Corporate Sourcing so that Spencer, Pine Island and our co-manufacturers can produce high quality, low cost processed and dried cheese finished products. This entails working closely with Corporate Sourcing, SQA, QA and Warehousing to establish approved suppliers, warehousing storage and transfer practices, and adherence to specifications and expectations. Non-conformances are reported and dealt with accordingly.

This position oversees 5 exempt and non-exempt direct reports (Logistics/Receiving Supervisor, Cheese Grader, Inventory Deployment Specialist, two Administrative Cheese Coordinators and 8 union employees (Group Leader, Warehouse Material Handlers and Yard). This team is responsible for cheese inventory movement within the system and ensures adherence to regulatory, quality and customer guidelines for receiving, inspecting, testing and release of our cheese materials.

This person is also responsible for working closely with R&D and Formulations to ensure that inventory and approved alternates align with production demand, formulation requirements and performance expectations.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in the Supply Chain, Operations Management, or similar field

• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain focused role

• In lieu of degree, 7+ years experience in Supply Chain/Logistics role

Competencies Skills Required:

•Strong communication skills

•Previous experience working with suppliers

Education - Experience Preferred:

• Processed Cheese manufacturing exposure

• Procurement experience
