About the Job
Your Contribution
Responsible for the activities and functions of the logistics department staff. Ensure the Customer Service Rating goal is achieved or exceeded. Drive continuous improvement through improved efficiency, cost reduction and/ or improved service delivery.
- Manage day to day planning of logistics planning operations including but not limited to vendor management, material delivery, and outbound shipments
- Lead and participate with logistics planners in accurately planning materials with suppliers for satisfying customer demands
- Benchmark and implement world class material flow/warehouse concepts and strategies
- Develop logistics agreements: pack size, order quantity, ship frequencies, routings
- Research and implement continuous improvement inventory practices
Your Experience & Qualifications
- 5 years experience in logistics with material flow/automotive experience preferred
- Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills
- Proven skills in strategic implementation / department optimization
- Extensive experience working with MRP and J-I-T principals
- Working knowledge of ISO14001 and TS16949 standards
- Working knowledge of SAP
