We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Low Voltage Cabling Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has a passion for the construction industry and possesses a keen interest in the design and implementation of low voltage systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our low voltage cabling projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and oversee the installation of low voltage systems, including data cabling, security systems, and alarm systems.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure the project is being executed as per the design and plan.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the project and find effective solutions.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- Prepare and present project updates and reports to management.
- Continually update knowledge and skills related to low voltage systems and stay abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing low voltage cabling projects, including data cabling, security systems, and alarm systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of low voltage systems and their installation.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions.
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in Project Management would be an added advantage.
