About the Job
Summary of Job:
Individual working on a team delivering the successful installation, start-up, and operation of digital (DDC), electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic HVAC control components. Individual will work under the direction of a BAS technician.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Five (5)+ years of experience preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- BAS Protocols - Develops an understanding of BAS communication protocols
- Electrical Knowledge - Develops a basic understanding of Ohm’s Law
- Blueprints - Understands the basic concepts of blueprints and schematic drawings
- HVAC Systems – Develops basic understanding of HVAC systems and components
- Hydronic Systems – Understands the basics of chilled, condenser and hot water systems
- Air Side Systems – Understands the basics of variable and constant volume air flows.
- Computer Skills – Possesses basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office products
- Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics
- Written Communication – Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret information
