We are looking for a talented CAD Designer to play a key role in configuring and planning low-voltage systems for commercial spaces. You'll work closely with our team to ensure systems meet all engineered plans and specifications, while also identifying opportunities to optimize value and expand project scope.
What you'll do:
- Design pre-sales and post-sales systems for fire alarms, security, communications, and other low-voltage systems
- Leverage your CAD expertise to create clear and concise construction shop drawings and as-built drawings for efficient system installation by our technicians and subcontractors
- Collaborate with the team to ensure project designs adhere to all codes and regulations
- Identify value engineering and scope expansion opportunities to enhance project outcomes
You're a great fit if you have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to work a full-time schedule
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field such as lead technician, estimator, systems designer, or project manager, with a focus on commercial fire alarm, electronic security, and/or other low-voltage specialties
- Proficient experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Certification, or a similar design and drawing software
A plus if you have:
- NICET certifications or other relevant industry certifications
