Summary
South Central Regional Medical Center is looking for an organized, detail-oriented and compassionate individual to join our team as an Employee Health Nurse. The employee health nurse works under the direct supervision of the Director of Quality and must possess knowledge regarding the responsibilities & requirements of the employee health department. This nurse will play a vital role in ensuring that our employees meet and maintain the ongoing requirements set forth by the organization to help ensure a safe working environment.
Job Components
Key Responsibilities:
- Director & employee notifications for employee requirements and follow up item.
- Must maintain complete accurate employee health records.
- Responsible for all new hire employee health requirements and orientation preparation.
- Evaluation of hospital personnel health records with the annual health evaluation.
- Initiate and follow up on employee exposures.
- Tracking and trending TB conversions.
- Assist with fit-testing for all designated areas.
- Assist with data reporting for performance improvement & employee exposure reporting.
- Performs urine drug screening on employees as required or requested by administration.
- Travels offsite during influenza vaccination season to administer vaccinations if needed.
- May need to function as a bedside nurse in an emergency.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical degree in nursing, with a current LPN license issued by the Mississippi Board of Nursing or similar professional degree and licensure or certification.
- BLS training
- Tuberculosis skin testing certification
- Urine drug screen training
- Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal and written communication.
