About the Client
A 13-year old boy from Berks, PA in need of care of a skilled nurse (LPN/RN) for seizure monitoring
Client Story
Meet Apollo, a resilient 13-year-old diagnosed with Autistic disorder, who faces each day with determination and courage. Despite the challenges posed by his condition, Apollo's spirit remains unwavering, and his zest for life shines through.
To meet his complex care needs, Apollo requires the support of a skilled nurse. From Monday to Friday, between 3 pm and 7 pm, and on Saturdays from 8 am to 7 pm, the nurse provides essential care and assistance tailored to Apollo's unique requirements.
Apollo's daily routine includes ambulating short distances, managing diaper changes and pull-outs, as well as mouth feeding. Additionally, the nurse ensures the proper administration of medications and provides support with showering, bathing, and toileting.
As Apollo also experiences seizure activity, the nurse is trained to respond promptly and effectively, ensuring his safety and well-being at all times. Furthermore, Apollo's treatment plan includes the use of a ventricular nerve stimulator (VNS), which requires specialized care and monitoring.
Through the dedicated care and support of his skilled nurse, Apollo is empowered to navigate his daily challenges with confidence. Together, they create a nurturing environment where Apollo can thrive, grow, and embrace life to the fullest despite his medical condition.
