This is for a full-time NIGHT shift position at our residential treatment center
*Shift 6:00PM to 6:30am*
*SIGN ON BONUS : $3300.00 *
*SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $2.00 per hour *
Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse
Department: Nursing
Reports To: Director of Nursing
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensed Practical Nurse monitors patients at all times, ensuring safety and compliance with program protocols. The individual performs critical nursing functions, including ordering laboratory tests and prescription medications as directed by Physician, monitoring patient vital signs, and dispensing patient medications as directed by the ADON or Director of Nursing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Place orders to toxicology laboratories, blood analysis laboratories, and pharmacy.
* Communicate laboratory results to physician or Nurse Practitioner.
* Receive and store all orders from pharmacy in accordance with facility policies.
* Take and record patient vital signs according to schedule and policies.
* Dispense medications to patients as needed, according to schedule, and in line with facility policies.
* Respond to medical emergencies and call physician as needed for orders.
* Supervise patient monitoring station or delegate to other staff as necessary.
* Monitor on-site narcotics to prevent theft or abuse.
* In absence of managers, act as supervisor on duty and ensure other staff carry out all duties and responsibilities of their positions.
* Participate in monthly Infection Control Committee meetings as needed.
* Assist all Recovery Coaches with fifteen-minute rounds as necessary.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Type: FT
Sign On Bonus: FT $3300.00
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
