Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse Job Summary
The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) will provide personalized, skilled nursing services to support individual students with special needs in community, school, or home health settings. This role requires experience working with children, adolescents, and families and focuses on creating a therapeutic environment tailored to each student's needs. This is a full-time contract position through May 2025.
Compensation:
$28-$33 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements
Education:
- Completion of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
Licensure:
- Current, unencumbered license in the state of Texas.
Experience:
- Minimum one year of LPN experience within the last three years.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a community, school, or home health setting is essential.
Credentials:
- Background check, OIG, SAM, OFAC, and NSO screenings as required.
- Current BLS level CPR certification from the American Heart Association (or equivalent).
- Hepatitis B compliance.
- TB screening and baseline testing at hire; two-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold may be required.
- Drug screening as per client contract.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients under supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients' reactions.
- Support students with special needs through daily living skills, social skills, and recreational activities.
- Record and monitor health information in compliance with HIPAA.
- Ensure all care practices are inclusive, respecting cultural diversity and age-specific needs.
- Additional Focus: Assist individual students with special needs, providing both clinical care and therapeutic activities to foster independence and developmental progress.
