About the Job
The LPN provides care and education for the patient based on their illness, symptoms, and courses of treatment. This position manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and the practice policies and procedures. The LPN practices "professional nursing" by performing acts which require substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skill based upon applied principles of psychological, physical, and social sciences. The LPN indirectly supervises Medical Assistants within the practice. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Other responsibilities include training employees; assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Qualifications:- Practical Nursing Degree
- Current License as a LPN in the State of Florida
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute and chronic care nursing, knowledge, and skills
