THE IDEAL CANDIDATE NEED TO BE AN LPN OR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT - $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS
LPN Specialist requirements are:
Summary/Objective: Provide basic medical and nursing care such as checking blood pressure and inserting catheters, ensure the comfort of patients, discuss health care with patients, and report status of patients to registered nurses and providers.
Essential Functions
Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty.
Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical record.
Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Additional Qualification: 1 Year experience in primary care setting. Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment.
Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements are:
Summary/Objective: Medical Assistants perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running smoothly. In addition to administrative duties, Medical Assistants perform clinical duties in accordance to state law.
Essential Functions
Summons and prepares patient for office visit.
Assists the physician with medical office procedures
Administers medication, including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physicians as required by specialty.
Adheres to nursing policy and procedure when documenting information in patient’s medical record.
Maintains the integrity of the office
Assumes responsibility for maintaining current certification in CPR.
Accepts responsibility for reading and referencing new policies and procedures and Nursing Update newsletters.
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment
Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Medical Assistant.
Additional Qualifications: 1 Year experience in primary care setting. Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment.
