SC & BP1, a medical staffing agency located in Buffalo, New York, is looking to hire experienced LPN’s. for all shifts. We will pay $32.00 per hour.
Under supervised professional and skilled guidance, our LPN’s give direct nursing care to assigned residents and perform other services necessary for their personal and comforts needs.
v Job Responsibilities / Duties:
v Delivers nursing care in structured & routine situations.
v Administers and records medications and treatments as assigned.
v Prepares for and assists Nurses and others with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
v Reinforces, supports and provides health care instructions to patients and their families.
v Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities.
v Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
v Observes and reports patients’ vital signs, symptoms and general condition to the appropriate individuals(s).
v Records on patient charts observation of patients responses to nursing care rendered.
v Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients.
v Assists with unit management and/or assumes charge of unit as assigned.
v Performs other nursing functions related to patient care and nursing service, as delegated by the Nursing Service Administration.
v Guides and directs other technicians and nurse’s aides in rendering patient care.
v Maintains clinical competence through participation and attendance at continuing education programs assistance with activities of daily living.
v Administration of treatments and routine tasks such as suctioning and urinary catheterizations.
v Preparation of patient for procedures, diagnostic tests, treatments, examinations.
v Administration of medications within scope of practice.
v Identification and set up of intravenous equipment and delivery of solutions or infusion through peripheral access devices.
v Administer blood or blood products, with special training.
v Provides emotional support to patients & their families/significant others.
v Assists with the rehabilitation of patients according to the nursing care plan.
v Provides for the physical comfort & safety of the patient.
v Contributes to patient care conferences.
v Assists in emergency resuscitative procedures.
v Performs other duties as required.
Requirements:
v Completion of an educational program and NYS licensure as a LPN.
v Prior experience in a long term skilled nursing facility is a plus.
