Lubricant Driver
SUMMARY
The Lubricant Driver is responsible for delivery of product, to include accountability for shipments of products at the right place and time, receipt of inventory, operating a safe work environment, tracking maintenance of vehicles, and various other duties.
Applicants must possess a valid CDL license. We do not reimburse for CDL license costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES BY COMPETENCY: (*denotes an essential function of the position)

- Ensure orders are delivered to customers in a timely and safe manner.
- Strive continuously to find opportunities to improve truck routing and delivery.
- Utilize tools and technology provided in an effective and efficient manner.
- Abide by all DOT and HazMat rules and regulations.
- Manage delivery expenses and time.
- Assist Lubricant team with identifying new business, growing current customer volume, and meeting Lubricant divisional goals.
- Maintain regular attendance and follows designated safety practices.
- Ensure a safe working environment and promptly reports any safety accidents or violations to the proper management.
- Performs other duties not listed as required.
Communication
- Keep direct supervisor apprised of problems or issues that are beyond a typical scope.
- Communicate customer and product issues to supervisor.
- Ensure communication with customers, suppliers, vendors, and co-workers is professional and appropriate.

- Maintain professional image of self and vehicle.
- Exhibit a professional and customer friendly attitude.
- Ensure products customers receive are in line with product integrity standards and are delivered within the committed timeframe.

Safety
- Attend and participate in safety meetings.
- Ensure all protocols are followed in the event of an accident.
- Work diligently to correct safety deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Complete required safety training
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Inform Supervisor or Manager of unsafe conditions and behaviors and recommend how to correct or eliminate them.
- Report all work-related injuries and/or property damage accidents immediately.
- Cooperate with the medical provider, and follow the treatment plan and/or return-to-work program(s)
Technical Expertise
- Manage orders that are going out to ensure proper products and quantities are going out on sales orders.
- Develop and maintain mechanical knowledge to be responsible for ensuring proper pre-trip and post-trip checklists are completed and vehicle is in safe operating order.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of products and services related to the industry we serve.
- Maintain required commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements and operates vehicle in a safe manner.
- Maintain knowledge of and follows all DOT rules and regulations, terminal policy and procedures, and any other regulations as required.
- Follow all DNR, EPA, and Safety guidelines while loading and unloading.
- Ensure bill of ladings, logbooks, and drop tickets are completed in an accurate and in compliance with company policy.
- Develop and maintain necessary knowledge to understand and follow policy regarding logbook hours.
- Possess an excellent geographical knowledge of the region in which Lubricant Division operates.

This position has no direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education: *Required: Equivalent to high school diploma
Experience: *Required: Over 1-year verifiable commercial driving experience
Preferred: Prior forklift experience
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Skills and Abilities: (may be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with the position)
Requires intensive knowledge of a specialty field and the use of a wide range of procedures. Ability to use own judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems and transactions and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice. *Exhibit excellent map-reading skills *Ability to adhere to a time schedule or foresee barriers to that schedule when applicable and adjust accordingly.
Technology, Tools, And Equipment: Operating system, *lube equipment, *delivery truck
Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations:
- 21 years old due to DOT licensing requirements; 25 years old preferred due to insurability.
- Class A or B license
- MVR in compliance with company policy
- Tank and Hazmat endorsements preferred or must be able to attain in a reasonable time after hire.
- DOT medical certification Forklift Certification
