As a member of the yard crew, you will help serve customers in the lumber yard and provide prompt, friendly and courteous service and ensure timely and accurate materials handling and delivery. You will utilize product and inventory knowledge and materials handling practices to ensure loads are safely built, loaded and delivered to customer jobsites. - Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a rotating weekend shift
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Pulling and staging and loading materials
- Assisting customers and helping them load materials
- Approach customers and offer assistance to solve customer’s project
- Familiarity with all inventory items and their location, unloading shipments and storing incoming materials in their proper location, keeping the yard clean and merchandise orderly
- Assist with material returns
Qualifications:
- Ability to tolerate and function in seasonal weather
- Knowledge for safely operating power equipment
- Ability to lift 90-100 lbs with standing and walking throughout the day
- Ability to pass a pre employment drug screen
- Drivers license and clean driving record
