Role Summary
The Vehicle / Facility Attendant will assist with the operations of the Genesis House & Genesis Studio by moving vehicles in and out of both showrooms, prepping vehicles for demonstration drives (test drives), parking and retrieving vehicles from various parking garages, maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and transport vehicles to and from dealerships for maintenance. This role will also help with miscellaneous tasks within both experience centers.
This position reports directly to the Vehicle Drive Supervisor and supports the Curators who will be driving with guests. All team members will experience an interactive training program focused on the brand, the product, the procedures and operations.
Hourly rate range, based on experience: $22.00 - $24.00
Core Role Responsibilities
- Move vehicle to and from inventory location and demonstration drive (test drive) area in a timely manner
- Ensure all vehicles in the showrooms are in excellent condition and showroom ready
- Connect vehicles to power inverters in the showrooms
- Maintain security standards to ensure safety of guests, owners, and colleagues
- Assist in the moving of vehicles in and out of the showrooms for various events and product rotation
- Log and report all vehicle mechanical needs, repair and maintenance
- Ensure the cleanliness of all vehicles on location and for any event
- Maintain the elegance of the experience centers by spot cleaning all public areas as necessary
- Assist with the daily opening and closing procedures
- Assist with special events as directed by the management team to include, but not limited to setup and tear down and general event preparation
- Represent the Genesis Brand with excellence by providing the highest level of customer service
- Adhere to brand image standards and guidelines
- Complete assigned work as requested by supervisor
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience driving a vehicle
- Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- 2+ years of vehicle (fleet) management, including experience working with internal combustion engines and EV operating platforms, as well as trouble shooting and maintenance practices.
- High school degree, required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Present a professional and respectful attitude toward the team members and guests
- Ability to perform a variety of vehicle tasks such as but not limited to washing, detailing and fueling
- Detail obsessed - ensures the vehicles and guest experience is exceptional
- Ability to work in a fast moving and dynamic environment
- High flexibility and ability to adapt to different situations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business and guest needs which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Adhere to Genesis image standards, guidelines and unforms
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, walking/traveling to location of vehicles
- Frequently standing up or moving within and outside of the facility and vehicles
- Ability to quickly get in and out of different types and sizes of vehicles during a shift
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Frequently required to walk, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch
