About the Job
Position Overview:
As an LVN at PrimaryMD, you will play a key role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting the medical team. You will be one of the primary points of contact for patients, working closely with the medical doctor to deliver proactive, personalized healthcare services. Your goal is to assist with essential clinical tasks, allowing the doctor to focus on higher-level medical care. You will also be responsible for patient interaction, ensuring a seamless, supportive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming, professional environment. Address patient questions and concerns with empathy and care.
- Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws and other basic lab tests. Ensure specimens are processed efficiently and safely.
- Vital Signs & Assessments: Collect and document patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, oxygen levels) and other relevant health information.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for exams and procedures by setting up necessary equipment and assisting the medical doctor during consultations.
- Health Monitoring: Support ongoing health monitoring and proactive patient outreach by assisting in routine check-ins, collecting and recording health data from wearable devices, and tracking patient progress.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with clear instructions and guidance related to their care plans, follow-up appointments, or procedures.
- Administrative Assistance: Assist with scheduling, patient intake, and ensuring all patient records and lab results are updated and organized.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with the medical doctor and other members of the care team to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of care.
- Continuous Improvement: Assist in streamlining processes to improve patient care efficiency and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification in California.
- Proven experience in phlebotomy and vital sign collection.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate empathetically with patients.
- Comfortable with technology and health data tracking.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced, high-touch healthcare environment.
- Prior experience in a concierge or primary care setting is a plus but not required.
