About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- M365 Administration: Manage and oversee the configuration, deployment, and administration of Microsoft 365 services, including but not limited to Office, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Yammer, OneDrive for Business, Teams, Power Automate and related applications.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced-level troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex M365-related incidents and service requests. Collaborate with L1 and L2 support teams to resolve escalated problems effectively and in a timely manner.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze the performance of M365 services, identifying opportunities for optimization, scalability improvements, and resource utilization enhancements.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, data protection, and compliance policies across the M365 environment. Stay updated with the latest security threats and ensure the environment remains secure and compliant.
- Migration and Upgrades: Plan and execute migration projects and upgrades for M365 services, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users. Evaluate new features and capabilities and recommend their adoption to enhance productivity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of M365 configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
- User Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to end-users on M365 applications and features to enhance user adoption and proficiency.
- Vendor Collaboration: Engage with Microsoft support and other relevant vendors to resolve complex technical issues and collaborate on improving the M365 environment.
- Change Management: Collaborate with change management teams to ensure seamless deployment of updates, patches, and configuration changes in the M365 environment.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency within the M365 environment.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor resource usage trends and plan for capacity expansion as necessary to accommodate organizational growth.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on the performance, availability, and utilization of M365 services for management review.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Microsoft 365 certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, etc.
- Proven experience as a senior-level engineer or administrator in managing complex M365 environments.
- Strong understanding of O365 services, including Exchange Online, Yammer, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and related technologies.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- In-depth knowledge of security practices, compliance requirements, and data protection within the M365 environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with project management and the ability to lead migration and upgrade projects.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management.
