Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Medical Assistants to join our network of healthcare professionals. As a Medical Assistant contracted through our staffing agency, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, physician offices, and outpatient facilities. This flexible role offers the freedom to choose assignments based on your availability and preferences.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
Perform clinical tasks such as taking and recording vital signs, preparing and administering medications, drawing blood, and collecting laboratory specimens.
Prepare examination rooms, including setting up medical equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments according to established protocols.
Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHRs), including medical histories, symptoms, and test results.
Provide patient education on healthcare procedures, medication instructions, and general wellness, answering questions and addressing concerns as needed.
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing insurance forms, and managing patient records.
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current and valid certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant in a relevant healthcare setting preferred.
Proficiency in clinical and administrative medical procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
