Overview:
This role involves assembling equipment according to mechanical drawings, ensuring quality standards are met, and effectively operating various machines like mills, lathes, and grinders. It requires proven mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You should be willing to travel and have the desire to help plants with their machines.
Pay Rate: $30/hrÂ
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble equipment meticulously, following mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure thorough documentation and communication of changes and issues during the assembly process.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to assigned tasks.
- Uphold and execute ISO Quality standards, ensuring excellence in every aspect of your work.
- Collaborate effectively with the Machine Build Lead, providing regular updates on progress and addressing open issues.
- Contribute to the successful execution of assigned programs, focusing on cost-effectiveness, quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a safe and efficient environment.
- Assist in preparing materials for secondary processes, such as finishing, heat treatment, and deburring.
- Operate various machinery and tools safely and effectively, including mills, lathes, drills, presses, grinders, saws, shears, and presses.
Requirements:
- Possess basic computer skills and the ability to read and interpret part and assembly drawings proficiently.
- Demonstrate proven mechanical aptitude with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Exhibit the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently, following directions and completing assigned tasks.
- Possess the physical capability to maintain a steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and accessing machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
- Willingness to obtain licenses and certifications, such as Hi-Lo (Forklift), Aerial Platform, Overhead Crane, and Lock Out Tag Out training, while employed.
- Provide your own hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job (a recommended list will be provided).
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time, including potential domestic and international travel depending on the project.
