Printer operators are essential personnel in various industries, from publishing and advertising to manufacturing and packaging. Their primary role is to operate and maintain printing equipment, ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of printed materials.

Shift: Will be trained on 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm) then move to 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11pm)
Pay rate: $18/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating Printing Machines: They are skilled in using a variety of printing presses, including offset, digital, and flexographic machines. Maintain job records in M1 Software. 
• Quality Control: Printer operators monitor the printing process to ensure that output meets specific standards for color, alignment, and overall appearance.
• Machine Maintenance: They perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition, such as cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting minor issues.
• Problem Solving: When problems arise, printer operators diagnose the cause and take corrective action to minimize downtime.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of printing equipment, processes, and techniques is essential.
• Mechanical Aptitude: The ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform routine maintenance is beneficial.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and consistency in printed materials requires a keen eye for detail.
• Physical Fitness: The job often involves standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials.
