Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills
• Good Verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
• High School Diploma, or GED with 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred; or Technical Certificate with associated relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
Position Summary
The Equipment Operator II is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment, ensuring continued operation through interpretation of and response to machine faults, and line clearance needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform start-up operation from power off/cold state; complete equipment and product paperwork, such as traceability and start-up checklist.
• Conduct Level I required preventive maintenance tasks.
• Participate in changeovers to include line clearance, system transactions, and associated documentation.
• Perform work order set ups in electronic batch record, data acquisition and inventory management systems.
• Pull test samples for QC in process inspection, remove completed production from machine and place in finished goods totes.
• Fill component Hoppers/Bowls as required to maintain production.
• Perform minor troubleshooting to diagnose machine performance issues; escalate to assigned Technician when required to ensure resolution. Perform line clearance activities and return equipment to proper operation.
• Log hourly production boards with production and efficiency numbers; note issues that prevented goal attainment (downtime, waste, quality, etc.)
• Submit machine repair tags to identify issues requiring support services.
• Ensure that product not meeting quality specifications is processed under non-conformance procedures/requirements.
• Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas.
• Model company values and support strategic initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
• This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).
• Engage others; promote and participate in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.
Work Environment
• Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment. May be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals.
• Work environment can range from clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy, and with moving equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull up to 80 lbs.
• Recurring physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, bilateral motion involving hands, wrists, and upper body.
• Concentrated visual attention to perform checks on products and components.
• Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.

Assembler - Medical Device Assembler, Operations - Shift 1

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
• High School Diploma, or GED Required
Qualifications:
•Three months or more manufacturing/production experience preferred. •Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required. •Must be familiar with and comfortable using computers. •Working knowledge of the medical device regulatory procedures, lean manufacturing, and manufacturing processes preferred. •Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively. •Must be able to perform basic arithmetic (multiplication, addition, subtraction, division) with the use of a calculator or computer. •Ability to distinguish colors. •Must have good hand/eye coordination. •Detail oriented. •Ability to make sound decisions when safety concerns arise. •Read work orders of like operation to determine assembly order sequence. •Initial detection of nonconforming components.
Responsibilities:
Assemble various medical devices/components. •Work with other team members to perform basic assembly of products including preparation of parts, actual assembly, testing, recording of test results and packaging of the product to customer and government specifications. •May perform soldering, fabricating, crimping, mechanical assembly, taping, cable spooling, sealing, capping, clamping, bonding, and coiling. •Basic computer skills to review documents and to load and operate auto-baggers. •Inspects work throughout the assembly process and communicate any quality or operational issues to appropriate leader. •Maintain neat, orderly and clean work area to ensure efficiency and no safety hazards. Participate in safety programs, meetings, and trainings as required. Bring safety concerns to the attention of management. Understand the hazards associated with energy sources in the workplace. •Meet all quality, quantity and good manufacturing practices to satisfy customer and Regulatory Affairs requirements. Read and/or understand operating procedures for specific products where training has been completed. •Ensure first pieces at the beginning of each work order. Requisition of components. Collect and weigh returns at the end of an order. Implement line clearance to start a new order. Record documentation to labor sheets, check sheets, visual aids, production sheets, and work orders. Perform cleaning as specified.
