Loparex LLC is the worlds largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, and India. The Iowa City facility has been in operation since 1970 and annually supplies three billion square feet of release liner worldwide. We are currently looking for high energy, safety focused and motivated individuals to join our Iowa City workforce as Machine Operators with prior machine operator experience.
These positions may work a 12 hour shift on a compressed work schedule working 3 days one week and 4 the next week, including every other weekend, or on a 12 hour shift working 4 days per week with a rotating day off.
JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS | · High school diploma or GED · Requires the ability to read and write, follow verbal and written instructions, use basic math, and take accurate measurements, make calculations and use hand tools · Must have solid computer skills · Previous manufacturing experience preferred · Strong mechanical aptitude · Communicate in a courteous and positive manner · Ability to lift 50 pounds · Ability to stand/walk for up to 12 hours · Strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity and customers · Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment including ear plugs, safety glasses and steel toe shoes |
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | · Promotes safety by leading by example, participating in safety engagement and encouraging team members to work safe each day and to follow all safety guidelines/procedures · Operate the machine; this includes start-up, changeover, shutdown and daily operation. · Observe and monitor machine for defects during operation · Use the 5Y Process to troubleshoot issues · Identify and correct problems on machine. Notify appropriate personnel of any operational issues. · Use computer to scan raw stock roll and enter roll footage to generate labels and print out EOC/SOC and formula information · Oversee work of production associates · Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. · Follows Company safety procedures · Physical requirements include standing/walking for up to 12 hours, lifting, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching out and grasping · Regular consistent attendance |
