Job Descriptions:
Westchester Plastics, LLC in Nesquehoning PA, is currently seeking Machine Operators to join their team.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
+ Report to Foreman or Shift Manager/Supervisor.
+ Responsible for safe operation of all compounding equipment within standard operating conditions and standard operating procedures.
+ Responsible for proper equipment set up/calibrations.
+ Responsible for proper material stewardship of customer material being run on the associated production line he or she is operating.
+ Responsible for safety and housekeeping on the associated production line he or she is operating.
+ Responsible to run material according to customer specifications and AMETEK procedures.
+ Work with QC Lab to monitor quality of material being produced and make adjustments as approved/necessary.
+ Ensure all paperwork in associated job folders is properly completed by all individuals working on his or her production line.
+ Work with Customer Service and Materials teams to requisition and/or return raw materials.
+ Ensure all unused materials are properly removed from the machine and labeled properly so they can be returned to the warehouse.
+ Assist maintenance as necessary during machine set-ups/changeovers.
+ Perform clean up’s as necessary during changeovers.
+ Perform any additional duties assigned by Shift Manager/Supervisor.
Required Experience:
EDUCATION:
GED or High School Equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
+ Attention to details
+ Problem Solving Skills
+ Must be able to understand and monitor production equipment
CAPABILITES:
Lifting: 50 pounds frequently / over 50 pounds requires a lift teamClimbing: Capable of climbing stairs, steps, and straight laddersWalking & Standing: Capable of walking or standing 6-8 hours per shiftDriving: Capable of driving a lift truck up to 6-8 hours per shiftCleaning Equipment: Capable of using brooms, shovels, vacuum cleaners, pushing and pulling, associated with this job.Hand Tools: Capable of using hand tools and the physical requirements (reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling)Physical Agility: Capable of stooping, bending, and reaching while performing other job requirements.Mental Capability: Read scales, basic math, operational directions, and recordkeeping.
