Objectives of the position:
Work with the production teams to meet quality, quantity and deadline objectives. Ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner.
Main tasks:
- Performance of tasks in line with the Corvaglia Closures USA values and in a safe manner
- Performance and documentation of visual product checks (IPC)
- Moving and packaging of and production documentation for manufactured products
- Monitoring of and simple troubleshooting for injection moulding machines
- Restarting of activities following faults suffered by injection moulding machines
- Performing all necessary quality checks required
- Cleaning of machines and associated infrastructure
- Provision of active support as part of the continuous improvement process (CIP)
- Compliance with occupational safety and hygiene measures
- Reporting of risks to people and the environment
Responsibility:
- Achievement of quality and quantity objectives
- Ensuring of order and cleanliness within assigned area of responsibility
- Compliance with work processes and documentation as well as adherence to statutory and internal regulations for production sites
Shift
- Position works a scheduled 12 hour shift in a 2-2-3 pattern
- This allows every other weekend off
- 8 hours overtime per check
- 182 scheduled work days per year vs. 260
Requirements profile:
Education and training:
Completed minimum of HS education, secondary education and basic technical training advantageous
Professional experience:
Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience required
Plastic injection molding experience is advantageous
Shift work and safety/hygiene regulation experience is beneficial
Management experience:
None
Specialist knowledge:
Good written and spoken English
