About the Job
Position Summary: Safely and efficiently operate Onsrud Router in the machine room, while properly handling materials and products, meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, and team objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean router after production
- Grease machine for proper maintenance
- Label parts being cut
- Load patterns for days production
- Load new tools in tool tray
- Measure tools for extra tool storage
- Surface spoil board for beginning operation
- Carry parts to cart
- Check material for defects while loading
- Operate vacuum lift to load table
- Print stickers out for cut parts
- Program machine to surface tables
- Program machine to warm up spindle
- Push map or N/T cart to lift area
- Shut machine down at end of shift
- Sweep floor in between patterns for safety
- Adjust speed on router for different material
- Monitor material being cut
- Push cut router parts into sorting area
- Surface router table at end of day
- Troubleshoot router problems
- Check scrap carts for rework job
- Cut patterns on router
- Turn on routers for warm up
- Cut missing parts report
- Cut frameless jobs
- Perform random spot-checks for quality control
- Drive forklift to move material
Job Requirements/Skills
- Required to control operations of equipment or systems
- Must obtain and see to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials
- Required to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Required to write computer programs for various purposes
- Required to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
- Must inspect and evaluate the quality of products
