About the Job
Marlin Steel Wire Products is actively searching for a machine operator in our pail handle department. Training would take place on our first shift (Monday-Thursday, 5 am to 3:30 pm) and after approximately 30 days, an individual would move over to 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 pm) which offers a $1 shift differential. Marlin Steel will provide on the job training.
Essential Functions:
1. Ensure working environment is clean and safe.
2. Operate pail handle machine - make sure that wire is coming out properly and not causing any jams
3. Read and interpret measurements and blueprints
4. Perform quality checks and in-process inspections while also maintaining paperwork
5. Bundle product and make sure it is properly packaged for shipment
6. Report errors in production line
7. Communicate and provide information to supervisors and coworkers
8. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Competencies:
1. Use measuring equipment (including tape measure) for verification of parts to specification
2. Mechanical knowledge of machine and tools including ability to learn new equipment and techniques
