Job Title: Machine Operator
2nd shift 3:30pm to 12:00am
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team and play a critical role in our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of various machines, ensuring the production of high-quality components and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read job order forms before each shift to understand specific production requirements.
- Meet the quota of parts per hour while maintaining quality standards.
- Set up machines, including calibration and cleaning, to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings, such as speed, to optimize production.
- Feed parts to automated machines and monitor their operation.
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications.
- Test machine operation periodically and troubleshoot issues that may occur during the shift.
- Check output for any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
- Keep detailed records of approved and defective units or final products.
- Maintain activity logs and reports for production tracking.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a machine operator.
- Working knowledge of CNC machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.).
- Understanding of production procedures and processes.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations, including the constant use of protective gear.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong analytical skills to assess and improve machine performance.
- Exceptional attention to detail in quality control.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with other team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is a plus.
