About the Job
Chaminade College Preparatory has an immediate part-time opening for an Machine Shop Supervisor for our Eagle Engineering Robotics Team in West Hills, CA. The hourly base rate of pay is $25.00.
Months:
- August through mid December
- January through March
Days and Hours:
- Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The position will be responsible for mentoring, training and supervising of our high school students. Ideal candidates will have previous experience and knowledge of machine shop tools and the processes for creating mechanical parts from aluminum, plastic, steel and wood. The position will advise the team leader of necessary maintenance, improvements and purchases to be completed. The position will be responsible for adhering to and maintaining the safety protocols at all times.
Prefer candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience in the following equipment: bandsaw, lathe, grinder, sander, drill, mill (CNC and manual), press brake, arbor press, hand tools and 3d printing.
Salary and Benefits
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. This is a part-time position and is not eligible for benefits.
