About the Job
1st Shift - Machine Welder/Tester - $18+/hr, Grand Rapids, MI

Preferred Skills:
? Weld and thread pipe to customer specifications by automated machine
? Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
? Operate fabrication shop machinery and equipment to make product according to customer specifications
? Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
? Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
? Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills with or without use of a calculator.
Preferred Qualifications:
? Meet or exceed the expectations of our customers by providing a positive customer experience.
? Accurate use of tape measure
? Ability to read and interpret weld layout sheets
? Basic computer literacy
? Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
? Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
? Perform preventive machine maintenance and minor repairs.
? Operate equipment safely while adhering to all safety regulations.
? Regular and predictable attendance.
In this role you will be responsible for various types of pipe fabrication and machine welding and weld testing to customer specifications. Once your contract is completed with Workbox Staffing, you will be hired permanently!
