Summary: Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specialized in gear machining to lead cost reduction, quality improvement, and procurement of capital equipment.
Requirements:
2+ years of relevant work experience
Working knowledge of machining (turning, milling, drilling, hard finishing of ferrous materials)
Experience with selection and procurement of capital equipment
Ability to interpret part prints and GD&T designations
Experience with machine programming for gear and spline cutting processes
Proficiency in AutoCAD
4-year engineering degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of gear and shaft manufacturing tools and technology
Experience making shop floor process adjustments to correct geometry and quality problems
Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or other data analysis tools
Experience with SAP
Experience in a steel manufacturing environment
Responsibilities:
Recommend and implement ideas for cost reduction, quality improvement, safety enhancement, and ergonomic improvements
Lead the selection and procurement of metal removal machines; plan and implement machining cells
Lead new model preparations; procure tooling, gauges, new machines for efficient production processes
Pay Details: $27.00 to $36.00 per hour
