Machinist at Express Employment Professionals - West Chester

Machinist - $34.00 - $38.00/ hour (DOE)

Our client is is a global leader in innovative systems for stone, waterproofing, and masonry structures.  Since 1933, they have provided high-quality solutions for commercial, institutional, and residential markets, with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmentally-friendly products.  This position requires the use of metal working equipment and programs to take raw materials and drawings and transform them into finished products. 

Machinist Essential Functions: 

• Knowledge in use of all manual and CNC metal working equipment and measuring Instruments.
• Ability to interpret detailed shop drawings and their dimensional tolerancing
• Capable of machining new parts from raw material and repair of used parts to original specifications with minimal supervision.
• Establishes or adjusts work processes and procedures to meet production schedules.
• Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

•      What we look for in Machinist:

• High School diploma or GED
• Certificates & Licenses: Journeyman Machinist certificate or relative machine shop experience required
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of Solidworks, Solidworks CAM, Solidcam plugin, 2D drafting program (AUTOCAD or equivalent) required.
• Must be able to operate all hand tools, measurement instruments, and machine tools. Has required knowledge of all tooling and jigs and fixtures related to machining. 
• Must be able to work independently and within a team environment and communicate effectively.
