Machinist/CNC Programmer Job Description:

• Program Mazak VCN510C CNC Vertical Mill using Mazatrol Conversational Programming.
• Set and operate manual Bridgeport Milling machine
• CNC Programs will be created on-site from drawings and 3D models. Ensure that the finished product meets all specifications and that any changes are documented.

Machinist/CNC Programmer Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of CNC programming using Mazatrol or other applicable equivalent software.
• At least 3-5 years of experience on Bridgeport Mills (manual milling machine)
• Effectively and efficiently develop, write, and maintain CNC programs per company procedures and G-Code level to optimize and debug as necessary.
• Assist in testing and proofing CNC programs.
• Familiar with set-up and operation of CNC mills, Bridgeport Milling machine and lathes
• Ability to successfully collaborate with a network of support (manufacturing and engineering) to facilitate the completion of assignments.
• Initiates and performs technical activities associated with assignments leading to improvements of existing processes or technologies that significantly impact manufacturing results.
• Use extensive math skills to construct machine programs.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of various machining operations, including mill/turns, milling, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to translate all engineering drawing requirements, symbols, and dimensions as required to develop CNC programs.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Demonstrates ability to complete tasks and assignments within allotted times.
• Ability to carry out broad assignments and require appreciable originality and ingenuity.
• Ability to spend substantial time working with a computer at a workstation.
• Ability to stand, walk, stop, and bend periodically.
• Ability to perform routine, repetitive motioned activities.
• Adheres to Quality policy and supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
• All candidates will need to pass a lift test (this test is performed by an outside administrator and will be set up by Acopian).
• Must be able to Follow "need dates" on orders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks by urgency.
