Machinist at Express Employment Professionals - West Chester

Machinist - $25.00 - $30.00/ hour

A well-established machining company in Elverson is looking to hire a Machinist.  This position will require strong communication skills (both written & oral) and the ability to work independently at time-sensitive customer jobs with tight deadlines.  The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn conversational programming of mills and lathes.

Machinist is responsible for:

• Ability to read and interpret geometric drawings.
• Capable of holding sizes and tolerances from +/- 0.001" to fractional dimensions
• Able to plan job, select proper tooling and do own setups.
• Capable of running manual knee (Bridgeport) mill.
• Capable of running manual lathes 10" x 40" on up 

What we look for in a Machinist:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Vocational school in related subjects desired; demonstrated mechanical ability
• Read & comprehend complex, detailed instructions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
