Machinist/Grinder Operator - 2nd Shift - FSC Cutting Tools

The machinist/operator is responsible for performing various tasks to operate, monitor, and perform limited preventative maintenance on assigned machines. The machinist/operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications, making adjustments, and changing tools as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

The machinist/operator operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The Machine Operator will adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and supervisor guidance and in a timely fashion.

2nd Shift

Specific Responsibilities:

• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position and operate machinery
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
• Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance and clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
• Perform quality control, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
