Machinist - Strata-G Solutions

Overview

Have the ability to set up, program, and operate a variety of machining centers as required to perform a series of intricate and/or complex machining operations to produce a variety of machined parts. Performs other duties, as required.

Job Description

• Reads and follow-ups with procedures.
• Operates and adjusts multi-axis CNC controlled machines, as well as maintain a log.
• Utilizes shop math, charts, and tables for cutting qualities of a variety of metals and tools.
• Works within very close tolerances and have self-inspection experience.
• Stands, walks, climbs and sits.
• May occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have use of hands to operate machines, tools, computer and mouse.
• Must wear ANSI approved shoes, safety glasses and ear protection.

Minimum Skills and Competencies

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Mathematical concepts.
• Read and interpret blue prints and drawings.
• CNC machine competency.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school or GED equivalent required.
• Typical minimum experience: 3-5 years.

Clearance

• Must be eligible for and able to maintain a Secret Clearance.
