ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To accomplish this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
- Read blueprints, sketches, or CAD and CAM files.
- Display a working knowledge of GD & T.
- Set up, operate and disassemble manual, automatic, and CNC machine tools.
- Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces.
- Build fixtures for machining parts.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines.
- Turn, mill, drill, shape and grind machine parts to specifications and maintain tolerances.
- Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
- Measure, examine, and test completed products for defects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of machinist apprenticeship program with a minimum of 5 years of machinist experience. Journeyman certification is a plus.
