MAF Site Manager - Akima

About the Job
The Site Manager oversees all work to include facility operations and maintenance, logistics, site services, and environmental activities at the Marshall Space Flight Center’s Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF), as part of the Combined Operations, Services, Maintenance & Infrastructure Contract (COSMIC) supporting the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and its tenants. The Site Manager leads our large, multifunctional MAF team in the delivery of exceptional support operations, continuously improving service delivery and optimizing maintenance processes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and oversee all MAF operations in alignment with the COSMIC contract requirements.
+ Coordinate and supervise facility operations and maintenance, logistics, site services, and environmental services at MAF to meet NASA's standards and regulations.
+ Following guidance from AKS leadership, develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures at MAF to optimize efficient and effective delivery of services in compliance with contractual requirements, industry standards, and safety and security protocols.
+ Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver high-quality services at MAF that support NASA's mission and objectives.
+ Monitor and evaluate MAF performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
+ Maintain effective communication with NASA stakeholders, contractors, and team members to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services at MAF and ensure client satisfaction.
+ Prepare and present regular reports on MAF activities, performance metrics, and compliance status to NASA and AKS leadership.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, business administration, or a related field.
+ At least 7 years of experience in facilities management, operations management, or related fields, preferably in the aerospace or government contracting industry.
+ Strong knowledge of facility operations, building systems, and site services.
+ Experience managing service contracts, subcontractors, and vendor relationships.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
+ Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance and achieve operational objectives.
+ Familiarity with government contracting processes, regulations, and compliance requirements preferred.
