A mortgage lending company in downtown Austin Texas is hiring a long-term Part-Time Mail Clerk! This is a long-term opportunity.
Position Title: Part-Time Mail Clerk. (Mortgage Lending Office)
Location: Downtown Austin, TX (In person NOT remote/hybrid)
Pay Rate: $17.00/ HR
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm || Monday to Friday (20 - 24 hours a week as needed*)
Attire: Business Casual
The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience and be proficient with computers. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and be comfortable with other office equipment like fax machines, Image scanners, and Shredders. (Previous mail sorting experience is ideal and preferred.)
The mail sorter role is expected to accurately sort, organize, open, scan, and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and timely as needed. Attention to Detail, Accuracy, and Promptness are key for this role. The ideal candidates should have an outgoing, welcoming, lively, enthusiastic, and amicable demeanor.
This role requires morning or afternoon coverage and the schedule is flexible. This would be a good position for someone looking for long-term employment who can work 20-24 hours weekly from Monday to Friday during the office hours of operation, which are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. (No weekends). Candidates must pick a schedule and stick to it.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Must be able to read/ write as well as be able to type on a computer. (required)
• Experience in mail sorting (preferred)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (required)
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and pay attention to detail (required)
• Must be able to lift, weigh, tape, label, and restack boxes up to 40lb and prepare them for shipment
Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
