The Mail Inserter Machine Operator is responsible for efficiently operating and maintaining inserting equipment to meet production and quality standards. This role ensures that mail processing tasks are executed accurately and on schedule while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
WORKSITE:70 Broadway, Lynnfield, MA 01940
WORK SCHEDULE: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday - Friday
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Operate inserting machines (Pulse, MSE, EPIC, etc.) at acceptable speeds while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Set up and adjust equipment to process documents correctly for various product types, including letters and flats.
- Troubleshoot and clear machine jams promptly to minimize downtime.
- Organize tasks and resources to meet deadlines according to established procedures.
- Minimize delays by maintaining adequate inventory and preparing the area between jobs.
- Balance and reconcile jobs to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Perform minor preventative maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs to the inserter equipment.
- Identify and resolve equipment errors based on training and reference materials.
- Contact maintenance technicians for complex issues and ensure the equipment is operating efficiently.
- Communicate issues, updates, and important information clearly with leads, technicians, and supervisors.
- Cross-train team members on multiple inserter types for coverage during absences.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information for Conduent and its clients.
- Keep machines and the surrounding area clean and organized to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours daily.
- Periodic physical activities such as walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, and stooping are required.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot inserting equipment.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of processed mail.
- Ability to provide clear and concise updates and instructions to team members.
- Effectively manage time, resources, and workflow in a high-volume production environment.
- Willingness to cross-train and support various roles as needed.
