Mainframe Developer at Mastech Digital

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a MainframeDeveloper for our client in the Financial Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12 Months Contract (possible extension)

Location: Smithfield, RI (Onsite/ Hybrid)

Salary: $100,000 to $110,000/Annually

Role Description: As a Mainframe Developer, you must have at least 10+ years of experience. 

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

- 10 years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications

- Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM

- Ability to perform detailed analysis for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments

- Deploy and support software releases into production environments

- Employ your data security skills to keep our customers information safe

- You are detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing

- Proven Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus

- Experience in Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn)

- Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences

- Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills

- Embrace flexibility and shift focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs

- You bring a growth mentality to work every day as you continue to learn new technologies and skills and seek to share that knowledge with your squad members

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
