Must-Have Skills:

• Security: 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• RACF: 5+ years of hands-on Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) experience with at least current and supported version (z/OS 2.1 and above)
• Mainframe Security: 5+ years of mainframe security experience using native z/OS and Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) tools
• RACF Command Expertise: 5+ years of experience issuing Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) commands and performing diagnosis

Additional Skills:

• JCL: 5+ years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience
• TSO: 5+ years of TSO (Time Sharing Options) experience
• Scripting: 5+ years of REXX and CARLa programming experience
• zSecure: Experience with zSecure security tool
• Advanced Security Skills: Advanced Information Security technical skills and understanding of information security practices and policies
• Problem-Solving: Ability to manage complex issues and develop solutions
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Role Summary:

You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices. Your deep expertise in mainframe security, particularly RACF, will be vital in protecting our organization's sensitive information.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments of mainframe systems.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in mainframe environments.
• Implement and maintain security controls using RACF.
• Utilize native z/OS and RACF tools to monitor and protect mainframe systems.
• Issue RACF commands and perform diagnostics as needed.
• Collaborate with other security teams to ensure a holistic approach to security.
• Stay abreast of the latest mainframe security threats and vulnerabilities.
