About the Job
Maintenance Assistant
Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine - a comprehensive inpatient behavioral health facility. Our center will provide acute behavioral health care and outpatient treatment to adults and geriatric adults who are in crisis from severe symptoms related to behavioral health and/or substance use disorder.
We would like for you to consider our Maintenance Assistant opportunity for our new hospital and carry out our vision of bringing communities, healthcare providers, and families together to improve behavioral health, one patient at a time. We provide psychiatric care to adults and geriatric patients who require inpatient hospitalization due to mental disorders like cognitive illnesses.
As the Maintenance Assistant you will perform routine and specific maintenance services which may include grounds work.

- IOP/PHP oversight

What you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in maintenance or facility operations.
- Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools required in the general building/maintenance trades, general knowledge of maintenance equipment operation and ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
What you will be doing:
- Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment, may involve plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical equipment repair or similar.
- Maintain repairs and general maintenance in assigned areas as a member of a team and on an individual basis.
- Handle all equipment in a safe manner to prevent accidents and demonstrate good working knowledge of tools and their safe use.
